Roy Hayes Taxidermy is owned by the Hayes Family who were all raised on  South African farms where they had wonderful opportunities to study African Wildlife.

Roy and his wife Gaye, have been involved in  taxidermy  since the early sixties. They established their business in the early seventies. Their knowledge of Africa's Wildlife and its habits has been of great help, especially in the sculpting of the forms. Their joint fields experience has enabled them to sculpt forms that are anatomically correct and do justice to the animals.

The art of taxidermy has given me a way to fully express my passion for wildlife from ensuring that the piece I’m working on has an authentic, realistic appearance, to making sure it is in a setting true to its surroundings.

The tanning process has also been approached with quality in mind. Only the latest methods are employed, utilizing up-to-date chemicals imported from Germany.

A comprehensive taxidermy service is offered with most aspects being carried out in our 22 000 sq ft studio by twenty people., some of whom are hunters in their own right. Trophies are exported all over the world in custom-made crates designed by master carpenters.
